I must applaud Andrew Martin and the Better Government Association for being on target in the investigations about a lack of ambulances in the Chicago Fire Department.

Advanced life-support engines are an asset to patient care. But they cannot remove a patient out of a rainy, cold, hot, dark or hostile environment because the engine does not have a compartment for patients. You need ambulances to make transports.
