Romeoville trustees have learned how much they may have to add to their budget to compensate committee members and commissioners.

At a special workshop session last week, village manager Henry Sinda presented a plan that shows committee chairmen would receive $30 a meeting, and committee members, $25 a meeting. Committees vary in size and in the number of meetings they hold per year. The proposed annual salaries for nine committee chairmen and 51 members totals $18,900.

The chairmen and members of the Planning Commission and Zoning Board are paid $30 and $25 a meeting respectively, Sinda said. Their compensation is defrayed partly by fees paid by developers who call for special planning or zoning board meetings.
