Thomas A. Rush, 91, of Batavia, who was an electrician for the Burlington Railroad for more than 50 years, died Wednesday at Provena Geneva Care Center in Geneva. Born in Aurora, Mr. Rush was a member of the United Methodist Church in Batavia. While with the railroad, Mr. Rush was the head winder of motors for the Zephyr. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and took many trips to Florida and Wisconsin. He was a gifted repairman, fixing TVs, radios and automobiles. Survivors include his wife, Florence; a daughter, Patricia Thompson; two sisters, Margaret Wenberg and Esther Greenawalt; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Services will be at noon Monday at the funeral home.
