A Manhattan Beach, Calif., man told police that his rented 1999 Pontiac was stolen last week while he was at Shell Oil, 2210 Midwest Rd., police said. The man reportedly left the car’s engine running when he went inside to pay for fuel, according to police, who said the man had a laptop computer and an Armani suit in the car.
