Mark D. Carlson, 44, of Homer Township, a sergeant in the Naperville Police Department, died Thursday. Born in Joliet, Mr. Carlson was with the department for 14 years. He formerly was with the Lockport and Crest Hill Police Departments. Mr. Carlson was a member of Lockport Moose Lodge 1557 and the DuPage County Police Association. Survivors include his wife, Michelle; a daughter, Stephanie; his parents, Sheldon and Norma; and a sister, Patricia Richter. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in O’Neil Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church of Lockport, 10th and Washington Streets.
