Victor Mattern, 66, of Glen Ellyn died Monday in Hines Veterans Hospital in Hines. Mr. Mattern was a resident of Glen Ellyn for 20 years and lived in Villa Park and Lombard. He was a graduate of the Missouri Military Academy and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was an electronic engineer. Mr. Mattern also was a veteran serving during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; two sons, William and Richard; four daughters, Julie, Debra, Suzanne and Theresa; his sister, Bonnie Black; his mother, Alice Vigh; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard.
