In all the discussions about the need for a third airport at Peotone not even Mayor Richard Daley has brought up the issue of what we will be doing to some of the richest farmland in the world. How would our building a third airport in Peotone be all that different than what people in Brazil are doing when burning down the rain forest? Where are the voices for the conservation of the environment? Are the environmentalists being silent over this, or silenced, or simply ignored?
