A bus loaded with children ran off of a German autobahn and overturned Friday evening, killing one 15-year-old and injuring at least 20 other people.
Police said that 10 children were seriously injured in the accident 35 miles northwest of Frankfurt.
Many of the 76 people aboard the bus were treated for shock, police said.
The accident occurred as the bus was traveling on the A3 autobahn from Cologne to Frankfurt. For unknown reasons, the vehicle plunged down a 100-foot embankment and overturned.
Hesse state police were investigating.
