It is a disgrace to the memory of Jack Brickhouse what Tribune Co. and the Chicago Cubs did on April 12. A Harry Caray statue? Give me a break! Oh, Jack got an honorable mention on the foul pole, you will say. I will tell you what you can do with that foul pole.

Jack Brickhouse devoted most of his broadcasting career to WGN and the Chicago Cubs and this is how he is repaid. Holy cow, at least Jack was coherent after the fifth inning and the viewers could understand him just as well in the bottom of the ninth as they could in the top of the first.

I do not know why Tribune Co. insists on putting Harry Caray on a pedestal. He does not belong there. The Tribune organization owes the Brickhouse family an apology for this injustice. Wise up, Tribune–you made a terrible mistake.
