A nearly 300-unit senior housing complex with a medical facility is being considered for Carol Stream.
While feeling the project’s concept is good, the Plan Commission has asked Houston-based Belmont Village to revise plans to convert 18.5 acres on Geneva Road just east of Schmale Road into an assisted-living facility, apartments and cottages. The complex also would include a 4,000-square-foot wellness center.
Revisions to the landscaping, design and materials could come back to the Plan Commission at its next meeting, 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Groundbreaking for Carol Stream’s second major senior complex could come as early as August or September.
