A 17-year-old Aurora teen was being held Monday in lieu of $50,000 bond at the Kane County Jail, five days after he allegedly hit a 13-year-old rival for his girlfriend over the head with a bottle, police said. Raul Jaimes of the 700 block of 4th Avenue was charged with aggravated battery. Jaimes went to a home in the 300 block of North Claim Street early Wednesday and, police said, hit the boy with a bottle and punched him. The boy was treated at Provena Mercy Center and released. Jaimes was arrested later at his house. Later that day, police took the 15-year-old girlfriend to Provena Mercy Center for observation after she allegedly threatened to kill her 1 1/2-year-old baby and herself, police said. The state Department of Children and Family Services was notified.
