Working on: I’m co-starring in “If You Ever Leave Me . . . I’m Going With You!” at the Apollo Theater in Chicago. I wrote it with my husband. It’s about our acting and writing partnership.
I stay home to watch: “Seinfeld” reruns. I always laugh no matter how many times I’ve seen the shows.
The book I’ve been reading: “Memoirs of a Geisha” (Knopf) by Arthur Golden.
Favorite meal: Spaghetti with tomato sauce and pancetta and onions. I can’t have it often. It’s too fattening. Maybe once a year.
Prized possession: A painting from Bali. It’s very mystical, with mist and rice fields and jungle and flowers and birds. You always wish you were in the painting.
Personal heroes: Eleanor Roosevelt. She was selfless.
People always think I’m: It used to be Marilyn Monroe.
Nobody knows: What a good dramatic actress I am.
I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Making people laugh.
If I could do it over: I would have married my husband earlier. I waited six months.
My fantasy is: I’m doing my own sit-com. I’m actually meeting with people to talk about it. I’m interested in doing my own talk show too.
The one thing I can’t stand: Being too busy, as when I was doing “The Nanny” during the day and our play at night and renovating our house in between.
My most irrational act: Telling people that I was angry with them. I should have just forgiven them.
Most humbling experience: Being in front of an audience and feeling the love makes me cry.
