Two new subdivisions, including one that features a town planning design that was common before the automobile era, were recently approved by the Community Development Committee and are to be voted on Tuesday by the Village Board.
The proposed Parke Ridge project, planned for a 20-acre site just southwest of 161st Street and 94th Avenue, would feature 43 town homes and 52 single-family homes to be developed under the management of one homeowners association. All outside property would be commonly owned by the residents.
The other subdivision, a 38-home project on a 20-acre parcel at 15700 S. 108th Ave., received conditional committee approval.
