A 30-foot-tall musical clock will be installed in September in the Woodridge town center at the southwest corner of Center and Plaza Drives.
Celebrate Woodridge, a volunteer committee that is planning events marking 1999 as the village’s 40th anniversary, has selected the clock, which will be set in a landscaped plaza.
Celebrate Woodridge is raising donations to pay for the clock, landscaping, bench and paving blocks which will cost $125,000.
Henry Rispic, co-chairman of the committee said the committee has raised a little more than half of the money needed.
The clock is programmed to play 100 tunes.
