Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Any place that’s located between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek hardly sounds dramatic. But that particular spot of Wisconsin’s Door County is where Peninsula Players continues its 65th season with “The Lion in Winter” through Aug. 1, “Communicating Doors” Aug. 3-15, “It Runs in the Family” Aug. 17-Sept. 5 and “Always . . . Patsy Cline” Sept. 9-Oct. 10. Reserved seating runs $20-26. Curtain times at this outdoor theater are scheduled to make the most of the sun — the ham! — as it sets over Green Bay. (920-868-3287)

FAMILY FARE

Add another coaster to the list. Make that two. The newest addition/additions to Florida’s Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is/are called Gwanzi, a double wooden roller coaster on which two trains, the Gwanzi Lion and the Gwanzi Tiger, race each other over 6,800 feet of track. The 2 1/2-minute ride plots a course — make that two courses — that brings the two trains into “harrowing flyby encounters.” One-day admission: $44 adults, $35 ages 3-9. (813-987-5082)

FAR AND AWAY

Thank goodness for Wednesday, which is when Sunmakers, a division of Global Leisure, flies you from Los Angeles to Fiji for six nights, for as little as $1,099. That starter price puts you in the Beachside Resort, a bayfront boutique hotel on the main island of Viti Levu, and feeds you breakfast every morning. Other options? For $1,699, there’s the six-nighter that combines three nights at the Sheraton Royal Denarau Resort, daily breakfast included, with three nights aboard a Captain Cook cruise, all meals, various island visits and local entertainment included. Prices for both packages include round-trip air from Los Angeles on an Air Pacific 747 and are good on Wednesday departures through Nov. 24. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday departures are also available, at different rates. (888-822-3868)

ITALY

If you can get on-line, you can get out of line. Entering many of Italy’s favorite museums can mean a wait of up to three hours to get tickets. Select Italy, a company that specializes in historic inns and estates, offers several museum-pass options ranging from $15 to $79. When you get to the museums, you still have to pay local admission. Buying a Select Italy pass just means you don’t have to wait in line to do it. (www.selectitaly.com or 847-853-1661)
