Heat exhaustion: A condition, resembling mild shock, that occurs when sweating during heavy exertion in a hot, humid environment causes excessive loss of body water. The skin, either pale or flushed, is cool and wet from heavy sweating; there may be vomiting and dizziness. Treatment: Getout of the heat immediately, then drink cool water slowly.
