The Korean War Armistice Day came and went July 27, yet not one word was mentioned by the newspapers or television media. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Forgotten War–Korea–and we will hold a memorial service in honor of the thousands of brave young men and women killed and wounded and for those who still carry the memory of the scars of war.
Fifty years is a long time to be forgotten.
The Korean War Veterans’ Association thanks the public for remembering through their tremendous support of our Daisy Day Drive held July 23-25. The money collected helps hospitalized and handicapped veterans and those confined to veteran homes in making their lives a little more enduring and comfortable.
