LaVerne E. Deutcher, 88, of Schaumburg died Tuesday in St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Mrs. Deutcher, who was one of seven children, graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago and was a piano teacher before she married.. “She was a very special person to all of us,” said her daughter Sharon Gustafson. Other survivors include a brother, Erwin Kloss; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg.
