Mitchell Bartnik, 73, of Schaumburg died Saturday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Born in Poland, Mr. Bartnik came to Chicago with his wife, Maria, in 1961. He worked as a manager at Daniel’s Medical and Surgical Supply in Chicago. He retired in the late 1980s. Besides his wife of 49 years, he is survived by a daughter, Barbara Kaczanko; a son, Robert; and five grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday Michael’s Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon St., Hoffman Estates.
