Big deal on track: General Motors Corp.’s Electro-Motive Division, based in LaGrange, said it won a contract worth “hundreds of millions of dollars” to supply 1,000 train locomotives to Union Pacific Corp. The GM unit said the deal to lease 1,000 locomotives for three to four years is the largest single order it ever received for locomotives and the largest order in Union Pacific history. The 4,000-horsepower locomotives will be manufactured in London, Ontario.
