As sad as an accident can be, nevertheless as a “small” plane pilot, it is annoying to see the wrong terms used. It is disparaging to call a King Air a small aircraft (Page 1, Nov. 12). The Beech King Air has been a prestigious plane for years. Typically a “small” plane would have only one pilot.
Because I am one of those anxious to keep Meigs Field open, I have another complaint. I haven’t heard anyone call Midway a tiny airport. With scheduled airline service and a tower, it’s an error to call Meigs “tiny.”
