The scientific breakthrough in cloning Dolly the sheep is my favorite memory of the century. I was amazed to learn that genetic engineering and DNA studies had become a reality, and not just a subplot of a science-fiction movie.
The scientists had taken a genetic fingerprint of a sheep, copied it, and then made an identical sheep out of the copy. This was remarkable to me. It was like a Xerox machine for living beings. The possibilities are endless.
