Willie Week’s story of almost losing her home because of delinquent taxes (Metro, Jan. 19) should strike fear and inspire action in every Cook County property owner. According to the laws, it’s always the taxpayer’s fault when something goes awry. But just figuring out what’s what is a challenge, and constant vigilance is required. Reform of our tax system is critical.
