Michael F. Raymond, 64, a retired manager of customer service for AG Communication Systems, died Monday, Feb. 28, in his Lombard home. Mr. Raymond traveled the world addressing customer-service problems for GTE Corp. before GTE and AT&T Corp. established AG Communication, a telephone switching systems firm, as a joint venture in 1989, said his wife, Patricia. Mr. Raymond was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Chicago. “He was a self-taught man who was comfortable with a lot of subjects,” said his wife. A tennis fan, Mr. Raymond took a keen interest in the sports played by his children, said his wife. Other survivors include a son, Stephen; two daughters, Laura Smith and Lisa DiNaso; his mother, Mary Raymond; a sister, Marlene Dulski; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd., Lombard. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1025 E. Madison St., Lombard.
