Violette Paik, 85, of Elmhurst, formerly of Riverside, died Sunday, Feb. 27, in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Born in Riverside, Mrs. Paik was a secretary at Beeline Fashions in Bensenville. During her 19-year career there, Mrs. Paik filled orders for the company and performed clerical duties. “She was an extremely competent secretary,” said her niece, Mary Esenther. “She was very thorough and organized.” Before working for Beeline, Mrs. Paik was an executive secretary at Kraft Foods in Chicago, where she assisted the company’s treasurer. Mrs. Paik enjoyed traveling the country with her husband. She and her husband fished and went boating in Wisconsin and enjoyed hiking in Arizona. Survivors include a son, Richard, and a brother, Clinton Johnson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday in Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst.
