I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised to see that Alaska’s senators want to drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (News, March 14), but I was. Why would I want to lose such a national treasure for the sake of a few cents off my gas for a few weeks? Preserving a wilderness that could make the Grand Canyon blush is worth at least a buck.
