Vincent J. Stone, 66, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Des Plaines, died of congestive heart failure Tuesday, March 28, in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, Mr. Stone was a graduate of Lane Technical High School there. He worked setting up machines for several manufacturing companies in the Chicago area. Mr. Stone worked for 12 years as traffic manager at U.S. Tsubaki Inc., a sprockets and chain manufacturer in Wheeling. He retired last year. “He was very honest,” said his daughter Mary Fujise. “If he gave you his word, it was golden.” Other survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rose Mary; a son, Vincent Jr.; five more daughters, Rita Bruzik, Victoria Baron, Virginia Burns, Margaret Hamilton and Rose Farina; two sisters, Dolores Bradley and Donna; a brother, Roger; and 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
