Some years back, while serving a narcotics search warrant in the 6th Police District, a fellow officer was shot and killed in the line of duty. In his honor there was a move made by fellow officers and some citizens to have the street running next to the then-6th District Police Station named after the officer. It did not happen. Now we are going to have a street named after Hugh Hefner, whose claim to fame is finding women desperate enough to pose nude for his filthy magazine. Only in America; only in Chicago.
