Police on Saturday charged Terrance O. Smith, 30, of the 200 block of Oscar Avenue with unlawful use of a weapon, armed violence, home invasion, aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He was accused of breaking into a home in the 300 block of Grover Street.
