American Health Care Providers Inc. has been ordered into liquidation, according to an order granted Thursday to the Illinois Department of Insurance in Cook County Circuit Court. The order was expected given the Richton Park-based HMO’s decision earlier this week to shut down after insurance regulators rejected its recapitalization plan. The Insurance Department alleged that American was insolvent by $25 million.
