Bettie Lee Clinton, 74, of Elk Grove Village, an active community volunteer, died Sunday, May 14, in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Mrs. Clinton worked as a secretary. Most recently, she volunteered for more than 10 years at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, where she assisted in taking patients to their rooms or to medical tests. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. “She was outgoing and she loved to shop,” recalled her son, Scott. Other survivors include her husband of 48 years, Walter; two daughters, Bridget Billings and Cheryl; a sister, Ann McIntosh; and seven grandchildren. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church, 750 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village.
