Preconstruction sales are underway at Columbia Station, a Concord Homes community of 209 single-family homes in west suburban Aurora.

The seven two-story floor plans in Concord’s Heritage and Cameo Series include three to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, basements and attached two-car garages. They range from 1,748 to 2,500 square feet and are base-priced from $172,000 to $201,990.

Decorated models of each of the floor plans are on display.

To reach the community, take Interstate Highway 88 to Illinois Highway 59 and turn south to Ogden Avenue. Go west to Eola Road and turn left. Follow Eola to the community entrance on the right, just past 87th Street.

– Eight models are under construction and available for 30- to 60-day delivery at Fox Glen, a community of single-family homes in north suburban Round Lake Heights.

Classic Homes by Pasquinelli Inc. offers three series of homes, base-priced from $142,990 to $184,990.

Two of the spec homes are of the Savannah floor plan, priced from $150,900. It is a 1,679-square-foot, two-story home with two bedrooms and a loft, 1 1/2 baths, formal living and dining rooms, family room, master bedroom with walk-in closet and two-car attached garage.

The community has 25 acres of open space, seven ponds and a nature preserve and is bordered by Shagbark Park nature preserve.

A new series, the New England Series, has been introduced. It includes five two-story floor plans on lots of 4,400 square feet and larger. The homes range from 1,587 to 2,120 square feet with two bedrooms and a loft to four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and two-car attached garages. They are base-priced from $142,990 to $174,990.

Also offered is the Sunrise Series, which includes two ranch plans, a tri-level and two two-story designs. They range from 1,303 to 2,424 square feet with three or four bedrooms, 1 to 2 1/2 baths, partial basements and two-car attached garages and are base-priced from $143,990 to $184,990.

Fox Glen is located on Lotus Drive and Rollins Road, north of Illinois Highway 134 and south of Illinois Highway 132.

– Sales and construction are under way at Village Centre, a new Norwood Builders community of 70 condominiums in downtown Mt. Prospect.

Eleven floor plans range from 1,110 to 1,905 square feet with one to three bedrooms and one or two baths. They are base-priced at $190,900 to $345,900 with indoor heated parking included.

The development will include three buildings, with first occupancies slated for spring 2001. The first building is located at 10 S. Wille.

The sales center is at Clocktower Condominiums, a nearby Norwood community, located on Wille Street between Northwest Highway and Central Road.

– Sheldon Good & Co. is conducting an auction of commercial and residential properties at 6 p.m. on June 15 at Sheraton Gateway Suites, 6501 N. Mannheim Rd., Rosemont.

One of the residential properties is a new home at 148 Raymond Ave. in northwest suburban Barrington. Originally priced at $509,900, the opening bid will be $275,000. The two-story home has three bedrooms, including a master bedroom and bath with vaulted ceilings, two walk-in closets, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. It includes a formal living and dining room and a multipurpose room as well as 2 1/2 additional baths.
