– Alden-Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 2308 Old Hicks Rd., Long Grove, needs volunteers of all ages (children with supervision) to visit residents, help with activities and transport residents on site to therapy. Call 847-438-8275.
– Alternative Adult Day Service of Highland Park Hospital, 1936 Green Bay Rd., Highland Park, needs people to assist with activities and socialize with members. Call 847-480-3899.

– Lexington-Lake Zurich Health Care Facilities, a nursing home at 900 S. Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, uses volunteers for activities and other patient services. Call 847-726-1200.
– New Perspectives, 760 McHenry Rd., Wheeling, an Alzheimer’s residential facility, needs volunteers of any age (children must have supervision, families welcome) to socialize with patients, share musical and other talents, assist with crafts and other activities; may bring pets. Call 847-465-2975.

– The Wealshire, an Alzheimer’s residential facility, 150 Jamestown Lane, Lincolnshire, needs volunteers high school age and up to socialize with residents and assist them in activities. Call 847-883-9000.
