Donna Williamson, 58, of Palatine, a retired human resources manager, died of cancer Monday, June 12, in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Born in Muncie, Ind., Mrs. Williamson moved to Palatine in 1973 and worked in human resources for several companies, including Agie USA Ltd., then in Addison, in the early 1980s. From 1986 to 1996, she was human resources manager at Sterling Plumbing Group Inc. in Rolling Meadows. In the 1980s, Mrs. Williamson learned how to fly-fish, and within a few months, she was casting 75 feet into the water. “She was an excellent fly-fisherman,” recalled her husband of 38 years, Bob. “She was always smiling.” Other survivors include her mother, Ethel Hill May, and two brothers, Jerry and Bill Hill. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palatine Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Rd., Palatine.
