Like the people who live in them, towns grow and evolve. Downers Grove and Woodridge are doing so at a fast clip. Solidly established with events such as the annual Heritage Festival, Downers Grove is giving its downtown a face lift and reviving a strip of Ogden Avenue while its Lyman Woods Forest Preserve readies for new trails and perhaps a new center. In younger Woodridge, developers eye the rich supply of vacant land.
