Kathryn Stanton, 84, of Arlington Heights died Wednesday, June 14, in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Miss Stanton was an executive secretary at the former Stewart Warner Co., a Chicago manufacturing firm, in the 1940s. She was a secretary at Multigraphics Inc. in Mt. Prospect in the 1970s and 1980s. “She had many friends,” said her sister-in-law Rosemary Stanton. “She always had a good sense of humor. She wrote extensive poetry. She wrote very humorous Christmas letters. They were really interesting letters. She had a great appreciation for words and how to use them.” Survivors include a sister, Marie Stratton. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday, when a mass will be said in St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
