I have to comment on “Foreign high-tech workers,” the June 11 letter by Cheryl Lenz-Calvo. Seems to me the main reason she is so interested in increasing the allocation of H1-B visas is the extra income she will reap as an immigration attorney.

This is pure self-interest.

What she claims as facts to prove her case are really only opinions. The so-called labor shortage in the country has not been proven to exist.

If you think wages haven’t been depressed, why then do so many millions of Americans have difficulty affording a place to live?
