As a former resident, I am saddened, disgusted and ashamed to have ever been associated with a city that would encourage the prejudice exhibited by the Palos Heights City Council in attempting to bribe the Al Salam Mosque not to move into Palos Heights. This religious and social intolerance is absolutely ridiculous in a modern society.
