If I tell a child that he is free to eat as many cookies as he chooses but that he is forbidden to take the lid off the cookie jar, I am not a hypocrite. Do I not in reality support those who are against eating cookies while maintaining my claim to freedom?
Such is the case in America today. Our government tells us that we are free to practice our religions, yet we cannot do so as we determine ourselves. They control the cookie jar, and by their denial to allow localities to practice as they see fit, they in essence support the state religion of atheism.
It is time to take the government’s hands off of the lid and once again enjoy the diversity of self-determination.
