Charles W. Gardner, born on June 11, 1922 in Chicago, passed away on Monday after a long illness. He is survived by Jeanne, nee Hedberg, his wife of 51 years; and their three children, Barry (Susan), Kent (Jill) and Laurel (Wayne) Schaap; seven grandchildren; and his brother, Fred. Charles was a systems analyst at the Water Reclamation District. A devoted Christian, Charles served the Village Evangelical Free Church of South Holland in a range of capacities.
