Off course: Magellan Health Services Inc., the No. 1 managed care health-care insurer, said its fiscal third-quarter profits fell 82 percent as contract terminations in its specialty health unit pushed results below expectations. Magellan said its net income for the quarter ended June 30 slumped to $5.0 million, or 12 cents per common share, versus $21.5 million, or 68 cents per diluted share in the year-ago period.
