It’s obvious that Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) did not consult with the Chicago Democratic machine on how to party with Playboy (“Group asks Gore to stop event at Playboy Mansion,” News, Aug. 10). The Chicago boys could have guided her through the maze of criticism regarding the “inappropriate lifestyle and sexual misbehavior” of its famous founder. Instead of having a party in the mansion, they would have advised her to name a street in her district after the Playboy founder. Surely the chairman of Democratic National Committee would not have objected as vehemently, and if he did, she would have been able to say “well they did it in Chicago.”
