Linda L. Kramer, 55, an Elgin homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born in Elgin. “Besides being a wonderful wife and mother, she took in her sister’s three kids and raised them,” said her daughter Melodie Howell. “She was very family oriented. … She was always there for us. She was very well-loved by everyone. My friends instantly took to her. She was like a mother to them.” Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Andrew R.; two more daughters, Kandi Toledo and Tina; two sons, Randy Ellis Jr. and Andrew Jr.; and 11 grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, when a service will begin in James A. O’Connor Funeral Home, 11603 Main St., Huntley.
