As a political junkie, I was disappointed by the Republican and Democratic conventions.
Both were short on style, substance and excitement.
But the same could not be said of Mary Schmich’s and Eric Zorn’s convention columns.
Their insightful reporting provided a fresh perspective untouched by the spin doctors.
I only wish that one of them could have covered the Reform Party convention as well.
