As a diehard Cubs fan, I congratulate the Chicago White Sox on their winning the division and wish them good luck. What a great time for Sox fans. I only hope that all the true fans who were there all year will be able to get tickets for playoff games. They deserve it.
As a true diehard Cubs fan, I am envious and sorry to have experienced yet another bad year for my Cubs. I cannot understand why we cannot have a winning team. I have been a fan for more years than I care to remember. I have sat out in the bleachers when there were no fans in the seats. Every year brings new hope and promises but always ends up the same way. No playoffs, not even hope.
I wish the Cub players would explain why they are not doing the job of getting us a winning team. We fans deserve this. We have waited long enough.
Yes I will continue being a Cubs fan. I have many treasured memories of Wrigley Field. I will attend the convention as I have from the very beginning. I will continue to root for you, but please, players and management, give us a good year. Give us a chance to celebrate.
