Eugene E. Ploger, 73, of Chicago, passed away on Sept. 29 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, a native of Aurora, IL, he was born Sept. 4, 1927 to the late Marvin and Ione Ploger; husband of Lois, nee Hagman; father of Cathryn (Charles) Ploger Taylor and Robert Ploger; grandfather of Charles Edward Taylor III, all of Chicago; brother of the late Lynn Augsburg Boy of Naperville, IL, Leon (Sandra) Ploger of LaGrange, IL, Maureen (Dale) Boedewig of Oswego, IL and James (Lana) Ploger of Longmont, CO; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Private memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 8 at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Blair Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
