Simon Skilondz, age 85, passed away in St. Cloud, MN on October 1, 2000. He married Jane Osiol on August 23, 1941 at St. Hyacinth Church in Chicago. She preceded him in death six years ago. “Si” worked the 3 to 11 shift for forty years at Western Electric Company Hawthorne Plant in Cicero, IL. Surviving are his daughters, Marilynn (Tony) Maizan of St. Cloud, with whom he resided since February and Rosemarie (James) Ludwig of Peoria, IL; and his kind sister-in-law Emily Osiol of Chicago; “Si” loved his four grandchildren, Brian Ludwig of Peoria, IL, Jeffery Ludwig of Newport Beach, CA, Alyssa Maizan of Eden Prairie, MN and Paul Maizan of Fort Campbell, KY; he will be remembered fondly by his 10 nieces and nephews as well as their families. On October 2, 2000, cremation was accorded in St. Cloud, MN. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2000, at 1 o’clock p.m. at St. Adalbert Cemetery, St. Wenceslaus Section.
