Lydia Schmid, nee Wiegel, age 79, passed away September 14, 2000, she was the devoted wife of the late Max J. Schmid; loving mother of Carl (Marsha) and Steven (Audrey); proud grandmother of John, Rebecca, Daniel, Alexis and Eric; loving sister of the late Mary (the late Henry) Hoppe, late David (late Emily) Wiegel, Emma (the late Henry) Christ, the late Amelia (the late Fred) Schnarr, Henry (Mary) Wiegel, late Elfreda Wiegel and Helen (the late Henry) Eschenbrenner; fond sister-in-law of Carl (Isabelle) Schmid, Antoinette (the late John) Dubsky, Frieda (Robert) Fries, Teresa (Walter) Krutz, Josephine (Gerald) Walsdorf and Raymond (Marie) Schmid. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 7, at 12 noon at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo, Chicago.
