My mother taught me to read 75 years ago using the sports section of the Tribune. I have been a daily reader of the Tribune since then. During all those years I have never been as disgusted with your paper as I was after reading Wednesday’s column by Skip Bayless. Criticizing Virginia Halas McCaskey, denigrating her family, presuming to give her advice are not the marks of a responsible journalist.
Why do you continue to give space to this whiner? Why do you allow him to purport to be an expert on all sports? Why really cares what his opinions are? The questions could go on ad nauseum–which is where Bayless’ columns take us.
