Molotov cocktails and rocks are as dangerous to human life as rubber bullets. The blame for the start and escalation of violence should be placed on the Arab rock-throwers and Arab leaders who encouraged them instead of making attempts to stop the violence.
Israel allows peaceful demonstrations; it cannot allow violence. It reacts as any democratic society would.
The peace process has made tremendous progress. Israel offered considerable concessions to complete the peace process. Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian leadership will have to become flexible to arrive at a peace accord and to discontinue the violence.
